23 June 2021 (Wednesday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) announced the appointment of several new division directors following the retirement of several directors recently. On 31 May, FRIM Director General (DG) Dr Ismail Parlan handed over the letter of appointment to Wan Zahiri Wan Yaacob as the new Director of Technical Services Division effective 1 June. Also present was FRIM Human Resources Director Mohd Asmawee Ismail. 18 May 2018 (Friday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has conducted a MyWood-ID Technology Talk Programme last Tuesday at Villa Fragrans to provide a clearer explanation of the use of the application. 8 May 2018 (Tuesday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Lembaga Kemajuan Johor Tenggara (KEJORA) on 6 May to collaborate in mengkuang planting research in Kg. Tuan Seh agricultural land, Mukim Sedili Besar, Johor. 4 May 2018 (Friday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM)’s had received several innovation awards at the Malaysia Technology Expo (MTE) and the Exposition on Islamic Innovation (i-Inova) recently. 23 April 2018 (Monday) - Nearly 100 volunteers comprising Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) staff and students from Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI) gathered at FRIM yesterday for the FRIM Earth Day celebration.
