22 January 2016 (Friday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) today held its first monthly assembly this year, with all its staff pledging to protect and strengthen public service integrity.
Director General (DG) Dato’ Abd Latif Mohmod, in his opening speech, reminded FRIM staff to be more disciplined and to stay away from illegal activities such as drug addiction and gambling.
He later announced the appointment of Dr Lillian Chua as the Forest Biodiversity Division Director and Dr Woon Weng Chuen as the Director for the FRIM Commercialisation Flagship Project (High Temperate Drying).
He also announced the list of staff who have been promoted recently as well as the newly-appointed permanent and contract staff.
In addition, Abd Latif presented tokens of appreciation from the Corporate Communication Unit to research officers, Veronica Khoo and Ong Su Ping, for their contribution towards the protection of FRIM’s image beyond the call of duty by providing immediate feedbacks on issues that could bring negative impact.
