Limnonectes laticeps from the family Dicroglossidae is a small frog inhabiting small shallow streams in the forest. Often, this frog can be easily found in shallow puddles, water seepage near streams and freshwater swamp forests. Known elevation for this species is from the lowlands to at least 1500 m above sea level. This is a widely distributed species, so far recorded from northeastern India, Myanmar, Thailand, Malaysia, Borneo, Indonesia and Sumatra. The conservation status of this species is Least Concern.
