Yes. FRIM is not a public recreational park. FRIM is a R&D institution which opens its door to the public to enjoy some of its facilities. So far, FRIM has reopened its Kepong Botanic Gardens (KBG) for visitors on 2 October 2021 while the main campus only offers guided activities such as nature trekking and filming/photography. Please see the table below for entrance fee details:

The main campus only offers activities with guidance/monitoring such as nature trekking and filming/photography, To conduct these activities, application must be made via email (frim_enquiry@frim.gov.my) to Visitor Information Centre (VIC). Please contact VIC at 03-6279 7592 / 7597 / 7649 during office hours for any enquiry or assistance.

For commercial photography/filming activities (maximum 10 people per group), please contact Visitor Information Centre (VIC) via frim_enquiry@frim.gov.my for application and booking arrangements.

The library is open to the public with certain charges. Civil servants with valid working pass can enter the library for free. However, those without valid passes will have to pay RM10/entry, like others attached to private firms/non-civil servants. School children/university students with letter of permission will not be charged but those without one will have to pay RM1-2/entry. Alternatively, everyone is welcome to become a member of the library for a minimal fee of RM50/year.
