FRIM, AEON to collaborate on greening degraded land
12 July 2019 (Friday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AEON Co. (M)to document the collaborative programme entitled, ‘Contribution of AEON to Environment via Greening and Conservation of Degraded Habitats’ this morning at FRIM campus, Kepong.

This collaboration greening activity will be carried out at the FRIM Research Station in Bidor (SPF Bidor), Perak. FRIM has been appointed as consultant to advise on AEON’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities such as tree planting and rehabilitation of degraded terrestrial ecosystems since 2014.
FRIM Director General (DG) Dato’ Dr Abd Latif Mohmod signed the agreement on behalf of the institute while AEON was represented by General Corporate Marketing Manager Thong Poh Wah.

Also present, FRIM Deputy DG (Operations) Dr Khali Aziz Hamzah, FRIM Forest Plantation Programme Head Dr Wan Rasidah Wan Ab Kadir, SPF Bidor Coordinator Dr Ang Lai Hoe, SPF Bidor Manager Dr Ho Wai Mun, AEON General Manager of Legal Dr Vincent Ng Wei Chyun as well as AEON representatives Fansuri Alias and Syuhaida Ahmad Sabki.
