FRIM gets TripAdvisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence!

7 July 2014 (Monday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), one of the top eco-tourism destinations in the country, is pleased to be awarded the TripAdvisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence, signifying that it has consistently received outstanding feedback from TripAdvisor travellers.

FRIM Director General (DG) Dato’ Dr Abd Latif Mohmod expressed his appreciation to all FRIM staff for the achievement. He said they should take pride in ensuring the cleanliness of the FRIM area; and continue working together in upholding FRIM as a top natural heritage in Malaysia and the world.

He said the continuous effort to enhance the activities, facilities, and services as well as to maintain the natural attractions in FRIM, which has been gazetted as a Natural Heritage Site in 2009 and declared a National Heritage in 2012, has made FRIM a top hotspot for tourists and nature lovers.

Abd Latif received the Trip Advisor 2014 Certificate of Excellence along with a congratulatory letter from Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business, on 27 June 2014.

FRIM was also listed as one of “Seven Wonders of Eco-tourism in Malaysia” in an article published by The Star Online on 5 June 2014, alongside Mulu Caves National Park, Sarawak; Penang National Park, Teluk Bahang; Royal Belum State Park, Perak; Taman Negara; Cameron Highlands, Pahang; and Pulau Perhentian, Terengganu.
