FRIM PCS expands scope of product certification

20 March 2018 (Thursday) – FRIM Product Certification Services (FRIM PCS) is ready to certify all government contract furniture products involving 24 ministries and knocked-down furniture products under government development projects. The briefing on FRIM as the furniture product certification body held with furniture producers and representatives from MOF, MOE, Home Ministry and MINDEF. Established in June 2013, FRIM PCS has expanded its scope to cover furniture products for the open market, export and import. FRIM ready to assist in firefly conservation

14 March 2018 (Wednesday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) is ready to assist any state government in the conservation of firefly habitats, an iconic attraction in Malaysia. Based on the research project conducted by the FRIM Entomology Branch, fireflies of the genus Pteroptyx (e.g. Pteroptyx tener), a synchronous firefly, are found in natural riverbank vegetations. FRIM receives financial management excellence award

5 March 2018 (Monday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) recently received the Financial Management Five Star Rating Excellence Award Based on Accountability Index (Anugerah Kecemerlangan Penarafan Lima Bintang Pengurusan Kewangan Berdasarkan Indeks Akauntabiliti) for 2016 from the National Audit Department.
