9 October 2019 (Wednesday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has upgraded the Herbal Technology Centre (HTC) facilities to enhance the competitiveness of herbal product processing services to fulfill the needs of the herbal industry. At the official handover ceremony this morning, FRIM received the HTC Extension Building from Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), which was in charge of monitoring the upgrading work. 16 September 2019 (Monday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and AEON Co. (M) Bhd. conducted a tree planting programme on 14 September at the FRIM Research Station in Bidor (SPF Bidor), Perak. 10 September 2019 (Tuesday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Director General (DG) Dato' Dr Abd Latif Mohmod has been conferred the Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) award which carries the title Datuk in conjunction with the birthday of Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah, yesterday. 26 August 2019 (Monday) - The Ministry of Water, Land and Natural Resources (KATS), Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and Forestry Department Peninsular Malaysia (FDPM) released the National Tree Stamps to mark the launching of merbau as the country's national tree. 8 August 2019 (Thursday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has organised the 2019 FRIM Director General Trophy Innovation Competition for Selangor state schools to increase students’ interest in science as well as to raise awareness and knowledge on innovation.
