9 July 2018 (Monday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has organised a ‘Seminar Pemuliharaan & Pemerkasaan Pengetahuan Tradisi 2018’ at the FRIM campus, Kepong on 3 July. The seminar themed, 'A decade of sustaining traditional knowledge legacy', aimed at sharing the current status of traditional knowledge project, experiences as well as opinions with other researchers, implementing agencies and the Orang Aslicommunity. Elizabeth Wong joins FRIM’s gotong-royong with Community Friends

5 July 2018 (Thursday) - Bukit Lanjan State Assemblyman Elizabeth Wong Keat Ping has participated in the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Gotong-royongwith Community Friends held at Taman Warisan FRIM (FRIM Heritage Park) this morning. Over 100 FRIM staff and Community Friends including representatives from nearby communities joined the programme. FRIM retains ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation

29 June 2018 (Friday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has successfully retained the ISO/IEC 17025:2005 accreditation following a surveillance audit conducted from 26 to 28 June. Department of Standards Malaysia (STANDARDS MALAYSIA) auditors, namely Tan Kim Ho, Wong Siew Kwan dan Woo Seng Khee conducted the audit on laboratories related to mechanical and physical testing on 26–27 June; while Tan Kim Ho, Prof. Dr Son Radu dan Sim Ah Bah focused on facilities related to microbiological and biological testing on 28 June. Xylarium FRIM – biggest, oldest wood library in M’sia

31 May 2018 (Thursday) - Xylarium Kepong (KEPw) at Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM), which was established in 1918 with a collection of 10,201 wood specimens, has been recognised by Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) in 2012 as being the largest and oldest wood collection in the country. Just like a library for books and a herbarium for a collection of plant specimens, xylarium is a collection centre for wood specimens. FRIM organises MyWood-ID tech talk

18 May 2018 (Friday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has conducted a MyWood-ID Technology Talk Programme last Tuesday at Villa Fragrans to provide a clearer explanation of the use of the application. FRIM, KEJORA to conduct R&D on mengkuang planting

8 May 2018 (Tuesday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Lembaga Kemajuan Johor Tenggara (KEJORA) on 6 May to collaborate in mengkuang planting research in Kg. Tuan Seh agricultural land, Mukim Sedili Besar, Johor.
