FRIM facilities closed for Hari Raya Aidiladha

8 August 2019 (Thursday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Research Gallery, Facility Unit and Visitor Information Centre (VIC) will be closed on 10–12 August in conjunction with the  Hari Raya Aidiladha.  Clockwise from top: Facility Unit, VIC and FRIM Research Gallery. The FRIM paved roads, picnic area and Kepong Botanic Gardens will remain open for joggers and other visitors. The campus is open from 6.00am to 7.00pm, with the last entry at 6.30pm. FRIM encourages innovation, creativity among students

8 August 2019 (Thursday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) has organised the 2019 FRIM Director General Trophy Innovation Competition for Selangor state schools to increase students’ interest in science as well as to raise awareness and knowledge on innovation. FRIM, UKM cooperate in WHS legal aspects

FRIM organises ‘A Date with Fireflies’

9 July 2019 (Tuesday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) organised ‘A Date with Fireflies of FRIM’ on 6 July to celebrate World Firefly Day (WffD), which falls on the first weekend of July every year. The celebration themed, ‘Fireflies need dark nights’, aimed to create awareness on the importance of reducing light pollution to ensure the fireflies continue to thrive in their natural habitat. FRIM-TRAXXfm co-organise the Ecobuzz Programme

5 July 2019 (Friday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and TRAXXfm (RTM) co-organised the an Ecobuzz Programme yesterday to raise the awareness amongst students on the importance of conserving our natural heritage. The TRAXXfm-FRIM programme, held at the Sungai Kroh Picnic Area, was participated by 50 students from SMK Section 10 Kota Damansara. 28 June 2019 (Friday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) is ready to assist Sarawak forestry industry by offering its services, expertise and research findings. For this, FRIM co-organised the FRIM Technology Talk with the Forest Department Sarawak (FDS) in Kuching on 26 June.
