FRIM joins NIES international forum

26 February 2018 (Monday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) researchers had participated in the 3rd International Forum on Sustainable Future in Asia organised by National Institute for Environmental Studies ( Ismail delivering the keynote address. WUF9 participants visit FRIM

20 February 2018 (Tuesday) - A total of 65 participants of the 9th World Urban Forum (WUF9) visited the FRIM campus in Kepong on 10 and 11 February. DG helps FRIM obtain 33rd MBR for 33rd anniversary

19 February 2018 (Monday) – Five Malaysia Book of Records (MBR) recognitions received by the Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Director General (DG), Dato’ Dr Abd Latif Mohmod, has accomplished the institute’s target to attain 33 MBR in conjunction with its 33rd anniversary this year. FRIM VIC, Research Gallery closed for Chinese New Year

From left: FRIM Research Gallery and VIC. 14 February 2018 (Wednesday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Research Gallery and Visitor Information Centre (VIC) will be closed on 16-18 February 2018, in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration. The FRIM jogging tracks, picnic area and Kepong Botanic Gardens will remain open for visitors.The campus is open from 5.30am to 7.30pm, with the last entry at 6.30pm. 13 February 2018 (Tuesday) – Few people know that Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) was actively involved in the restoration of Rumah Penghulu Abu Seman, a lovely traditional Malay House which has become one of the main tourist attractions in Kuala Lumpur. FRIM fire protection lab ensures public fire safety

29 January 2018 (Monday) – The Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) Fire Protection Laboratory (FPL) is the oldest laboratory established since 1979 in the country to conduct research on wood and wood products resistance against fire for the safety and protection of lives and properties.
