9 July 2019 (Tuesday) – Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) organised ‘A Date with Fireflies of FRIM’ on 6 July to celebrate World Firefly Day (WffD), which falls on the first weekend of July every year. The celebration themed, ‘Fireflies need dark nights’, aimed to create awareness on the importance of reducing light pollution to ensure the fireflies continue to thrive in their natural habitat. 5 July 2019 (Friday) - Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM) and TRAXXfm (RTM) co-organised the an Ecobuzz Programme yesterday to raise the awareness amongst students on the importance of conserving our natural heritage. The TRAXXfm-FRIM programme, held at the Sungai Kroh Picnic Area, was participated by 50 students from SMK Section 10 Kota Damansara.
